Foliage Houseplants
Foliage houseplants are grown mainly for leaves rather than flowers. They are usually the most reliable indoor plants because they do not need heavy bloom energy.

Buying Clues
Section titled “Buying Clues”Choose plants with firm leaves, active growing tips, and roots that hold the mix together without circling heavily. Avoid plants with black stem bases, sour-smelling soil, or many yellow lower leaves.
