About Showy Everlasting
Schoenia filifolia is an fast-growing annual in the Asteraceae family, native to Western Australia. It reaches around 40 cm tall and 20 cm wide at maturity, with silver-grey foliage. Yellow flowers appear in spring.

Showy Everlasting suits Mediterranean, warm-temperate and arid and semi-arid climates and grows best in full sun. It is frost tender, so protect it from hard frosts or grow it in a sheltered spot or pot. It also is a genuinely water-wise choice and is usually left alone by rabbits.
Soil & planting
Showy Everlasting does best in sandy and free-draining soil. Dig in plenty of compost before planting, water in well, and mulch to keep roots cool.
Watering & feeding
